Ever wanted to control your dreams? Now that I have your attention this tutorial may or may not work on you. Yes its how to hack your brain while you sleep to control what you dream.
First of all, you must be tired for this to work on you, the more tired the better, it has a moderately low success rate.
Have you ever felt itchy while you were in bed just before you sleep, so you move to scratch any certain part of the body and then feel relaxed or maybe your just restless at night and need to move and stretch. This isn't because you are itchy or restless. The body sends impulses throughout your nerves to the brain which cause these movements to test if your body is awake or not.
Here is how we exploit it, since the brain sends messages to the body to move or scratch to test if your awake or not. Simply do not respond to these impulses. No matter how itchy you get, no matter how much you just want to move that arm an inch, don't let your brain tell your body what to do, keep your eyes closed and do not move your body AT ALL while you are in bed, tired and about to fall asleep.
You must stay awake in your mind in order for this to work. If you do not respond to the impulses, your brain will think your asleep and you will enter the first stage of "Sleeping paralysis". Generally after the first 30 min - 1.5 hours your hands and feet turn numb, then your whole arms and legs, after a while your whole body will be paralyzed (This is hard to do). Your body will be fully paralyzed and your cognitive thinking level will dramatically increase.
At first when I tried this the first thing I thought of when entering sleeping paralysis was "Oh crap I can't move my body, what if this is permanent?" so I moved a muscle just to make sure it wasn't a permanent paralysis, it's not permanent. So I tried again from the start.
Except instead of thinking "I can't move!?" you must think of the subject which you want to dream about. For some people this can take hours to do. But if you are successful, you might be able to control what you dream.
